COPY TYPING.

Basic copy typing from written text to books, manuals, straight forward PDF documents etc. Basically copying what you see.

STUDENT ASSIGNMENTS.

Basic copy typing from written or typed text, assignment typing is normally straight copy typing. Charges are normally per page or per word.

PRINTING.

Printing of documents for client, printing to work from PDF etc. This printing is related to document work and not designed work.

WORD PROSESING.

This is more involved than copy typing. It can include graphics, graphs, tables, diagrams, flow charts, pies, insertion of pictures, technical terminology, mathematical signs and formula, and so on in the same document, as well as plain copy typing.

DICTATION.

Is when a single client dictates his/her work through a microphone into a recording device, and you listen to the sound file, typing this up into a workable document, letter, medical note etc.

TRANSCRIPTION.

Is when you listen to a recording of a taped meeting, conversation, court hearing, interview, radio show, TV program, teleconference, conference, and so on and type this up in text format.

You will listen to the sound file and type what you are hearing, identifying speakers, and so on, into a Word document of some description, sometimes into a template or a pre-determined format etc. This might even need to have times inserted at regular points as well. Very often there will be multiple participants who will need to be identified.

DATABASE ENTRY.

This is where a client asks you to create a database in Excel and enter information for her/him, or gives you a table or a developed database in which to enter data.

This could be for a sales company, a recruitment company, someone who makes calls, perhaps for participants of a show, and so on. You may have to install a clients� own database on your computer. If you can programme you may even offer your services in developing a database.

PROOFREADING.

Is when you read typed script, either from a direct client or as a contractor checking someone else�s work, and check it for spelling, grammar, syntax and correctness of context and phrases, etc.
